Ford account manager is being fired for doing the job that doesn’t need to, reports say.
That’s because he wasn’t even on the payroll of the team that hired him, the New York Times reports.
Ford said that he was asked to review the finances of a team that’s been in the news a lot recently.
He didn’t do the job.
The Times report quotes Ford saying, “They said, ‘Are you the team president?
Is this your job?’
I said, no, I’m just the manager of an account.”
Ford’s team has been in hot water recently after reports surfaced that a team manager was paid more than $100,000 in salary in the first six months of his tenure.
The team has since fired the manager.
Ford’s report came on the heels of an interview in which he said that there was no issue with the salary of his team’s managers.
“The salary is just right,” he said.
“You’re talking about people with real experience.
You know, it’s a very competitive market.
You’re talking to the people that you have in your business, that have real expertise and they’re not paid like that.”
It’s been rumored that Ford may leave Ford Sports, the company that owns the NFL.
