How to Use a Google Account to Change Your Password

Do you remember that old password that you’ve been saving up for years?

If so, you’ve probably already used it somewhere along the way.

Unfortunately, that password was compromised and you lost access to the data.

This post will show you how to use Google’s password manager to change your password on your phone or tablet.

If you’re new to the process, check out our guide to getting the most out of your Google account.

If that doesn’t work, you can still change your passwords on your desktop or laptop using the password manager on your computer.

1.

Find the correct Google Account password If you don’t remember your password, you’ll need to open a Google account on your device and log in.

To do this, open up the Google account settings on your Android device, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select the Password field.

This will allow you to enter your password.

2.

Create a new Google account If you already have a Google password, that’s fine.

This step is optional, but if you’re unsure how to create a new one, we’ll show you.

From the top menu, tap Account Settings and then click Edit.

3.

Select your Google Account Password The next step is to add your Google password.

You can change your Google’s passwords here, but this will be the first time you’ll use them.

Select the “Google Account Password” option from the top-right corner of the password management screen, and then type in the appropriate password.

For example, if you want to change the password on one of your laptops, you’d type in “snowflake” and hit enter.

Once you’re done, you should see a “New Password” page appear on the top of the screen.

4.

Set the new password to expire This step should take no more than a few minutes.

You’ll need this step to make sure that your password expires in a timely manner.

When you’re finished, hit the “Save” button to save your password change.

If all goes well, your password should now be displayed.

You’re done!

You can use the password change to reset your Google credentials anytime you want, or for more secure use.

If your password is safe, you might want to update your Google email address to one that doesn, in which case, you may want to consider setting up an alternate email address for your account.

To use this process, you need to be logged into your Google username and password, and you need a Gmail account.

5.

Change your password again Now that you have your password changed, you’re ready to use it again.

To change your new password, open your Google Accounts app, and tap on your account name in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen.

Select Change Password.

Once the new screen appears, select the “Change Password” button.

If everything goes well for the first pass, you will now see a new page with a list of available passwords.

Choose the password that’s right for you.

The next time you log in, you must change your login email address or create a different password.

6.

Add a new password Once your new Google password has been successfully added to your account, you won’t need to do anything else.

Your password is now active and can be used for all of your accounts.

The only thing left to do is reset your password for the accounts that you use every day.

When the password reset process is complete, you are back to using your old Google password for all your accounts, and the new one is no longer required.

If, however, you want more security when changing your password each time you want your account to login, you still need to enter a new email address.

To make sure your email address is correct, you could follow the same steps you used to change a password, but instead of entering your email and password in the same field, enter them in separate fields.

To reset your account password, select Password Settings from the bottom menu.

From there, you don,t need to worry about anything else except your new Gmail password.

7.

Save the changes to your Google Drive file If you forgot your Google address, this is the easiest way to restore your Google passwords.

Open up your Google accounts app, scroll to the top and tap Add Account.

Select Save Changes.

8.

Delete your Google Password You can also delete the passwords from your Google drive file by clicking on the file icon on the left side of the Google Accounts page.

From here, you simply need to select the password you want removed from your drive.

9.

Update your Google Email Address If you’d like to ensure that you always have the correct Gmail address on your mobile device, you have a few options to do so.

First, you just need to click the blue button in the top right-hand-corner of the account settings page, which is
